It has been a while since I have updated my blog! I had a busy summer training with some of the top trainer in Tenerife! I am lucky to have an extended family who is passionate about sports. First my cousin and his personal training gym, took me by surprise how engaging training in a gym can be. I trained with my uncle , an ex marathon runner won most of the marathons he ever run, retired and still training athletes, such an inspiration.
I'm back home now, and things have finally settled with work, kids and my training. I have joined a group in Glenview who run on Thursdays at 5.20am ! This thursday will be the first one I join, but I am all ready I run 20km yesterday in the countryside with Simon , a 56 year old fittest man I have eve met! Meeting all these inspirational people along this journey has made me realise how lucky I am :) I'm back guys, follow this blog for some training sessions you may want to join me with .

In the last few months I had a few competitions, I did series 1 of 3 Belpark Duathlon in Phoenix park, and I did my first half marathon ( 22km) in Cork. This was such an achievement for me, I completed it in 2.02 , the last 5km were tough but I really enjoyed it and felt great, I am defiantly more confident I can make 42km now .
I am trainer more these days and for longer, I hadn't realize how much time it takes to train once you have passed the 10km mark! I need at least 2.5 hours now each day and that is hard when you have work and a family. Anyway, I have one more month of training in Ireland and then the challenge of spending two months in sunny Spain, I haven't quite figure out yet how I'm going to manage my training there...wish me luck! Far away , more than 3,000km away two of my favourite people in the whole world came out to run with me this morning! Awsome! I have a bit to catch up , my sister is taking the lead ...great run in Tenerife followed by my brother in Madrid
I'm feeling so motivated!boom so this month I will be running 5km 6 days a week
It's getting easier by the day and 5km is my norm so I'm not out of my comfort zone yet! I love running outside and so far the cold is not keeping me indoors I'm watching my diet too eating more proteins and more greens . Also two green teas a day instead of my capuchinno don't miss the coffee yet 😛 if you fancy running 5km with me over the weekend reach out!!! I'll keep you entertained for sure |
